My New Favorite Short Romance

Here it is! My new, favorite, hot off the press, short romance. Usually with short stories I am left wanting more but Love at First Date left me completely satisfied. Well, I maybe could have used a smooch more kissing (wink, wink), but honestly this book was awesome. I loved it. It was full of happy smiles.
This book goes along with My Last Blind Date (which I also loved) . It was fun to catch a glimpse of Rachel from that book as well as get to know Ellen more in this book. I love the setting in Sacramento. (hello, Sacramento!) That's my home stomping grounds. Now a days, when I get to Sacramento, I know I'm almost home.
One of the things I love about Susan's writing is that it just feels real. The character's dialogue and interactions are easy and comfortable reading. There is humor and there is sizzle. Perfect, right? If you want an short evening read to curl up with, look no further.

In Love at First Date, the first book in Susan Hatler's Better Date than Never series, Ellen is thirty and wants to find true love. After her mother's past relationship failures, Ellen wants to use scientific methods to find the man of her dreams. Given her abandonment issues, Ellen relies on questionnaires and virtual matching to take the uncertainty out of romance.
When Chester the Chewing Canine chomps into the contents of Ellen's purse, she panics. Her friend Rachel adores the dog, and will kill Ellen if he overdoses on her lip gloss. Thankfully, Chester did not chew her cell phone. Ellen frantically careens to the local animal hospital, hacking dog in tow.
Ellen wants to force order onto chaos. She finds her objective criteria and scientific methods exploding in their own version of a big bang when she meets a handsome, non-vetted stranger over Chester's hacking and trails of drool.
The short work is entertaining and fun. The characters are believable and likeable. Rachel, Ellen's best friend, is obsessed with her dog's mental health and happiness. Ms. Hatler also offers humor. For example, one of Ellen's suitors invites her out to the Chinese restaurant Wok N’ Roll.

Cute funny clean story romance

A cute short romance about looking for love in all the wrong places only to find it right in front of you where you least expected. People can be too much alike or think they want something they do not. Sometimes compatibility is over rated we can be too compatible or think we want one thing when in fact it isn’t what we want at all.
Elle felt she needed to find someone compatible she signed up on Detailed Dating site. She did her profile and got her dates. The dates were all wrong she found what she really wanted was what she didn’t want at all.
This was a cute little read that is a funny clean reads about finding the mate of your dreams at first site. If you want an easy fast fun read this is the book for you.
